Fun Lunch: A hot dog fun lunch is to be held in February. Hot dogs to be cooked in the school, someone with a food safety course will be present to ensure proper procedures are followed. Their will be a choice of either regular or chicken hot dogs. Dates will be announced. We are hoping to have a fun day to coordinate with the fun lunch, such as a Sock Hop, Backwards Day or Crazy Hat Day.
Un-Approved Expenses: The teachers have been saving their receipts for any classroom incidentals they incur over the course of the year. A motion was made to pay the teachers each $100.00 for these expenses 2nd. Motion passed.
Lunch Room Update: With the grant we received in conjunctions with 3 other schools we now have the funds to purchase a refrigerator. If so we could offer the students the option of a milk program. Is this something the parent’s would want? A survey will be sent out to parents. The lunch room supervisor’s would have their time allocation re-worked so that they would be responsible for the operation of the milk program. The student body was surveyed to find out who would like to eat their lunch in a more quiet setting. The results of the survey have shown that a number of children would prefer to eat lunch more quietly, so a quiet lunch room has been established. Teachers have submitted 3-4 names to administration of students who will now eat lunch in the quiet lunch room. It is the hope that this will program will be so popular that everyone wants to be in the quiet lunch room.
